Its very easy to find gifts for cat and dog lovers but there is almost nothing out there for someone whose best friend is a goldfish! Being such a person I was excited to discover this tableware range from Franz Porcelain. I think its so cute and unusual. Anything from the range would make a great Christmas gift for a fish lover or anyone with quirky taste.
The cup and saucer with spoon is a great stand alone item or it can be bought as part of a tea set. This would look good on display but is suitable for everyday use as well. I also love the organic shape of the small goldfish vase and the goldfish tea pot. You can order any of these items online at GiftandWarp.co.uk

Ok so its not quite time to think about Christmas presents just yet but I’ve found the perfect place to get gifts for…..well all of my friends. I’m really excited about finding this website I think I might be able to get my entire Christmas shopping done in one day. The site in question is called Think Geek and sells t-shirts, gadgets and other random stuff that would suit all types of geek…they even do stuff for potential geeks!
Some of my favourite items include “I void warranties” tshirt, the ,“I see fragged people” tshirt and the “I’m with genius” t-shirt. I’m sure that this will actually make people think you are smarter than you are. I also like the caffeine molecule coffee cup and the “There’s no place like 127.0.0.1” door mat, Even your mum might appreciate those gifts.

We usually give serious gift ideas on this website but I came across this hat this morning and I just thought, how cool! It’s definitely a more obvious way of letting everyone know its your birthday than a simple badge, I’m not sure I would be brave enough to wear it out on the town but I’m sure it would get you plenty of offers of birthday drinks.
If the hat itself isn’t drawing enough attention at the touch of the button birthday music will start playing from inside you head! Get this for anyone you know who is going to be out celebrating a birthday soon and don’t let them shy away from the attention…I’m sure they’ll thank you for it in the morning. Get one for £4.99 from Find Me A Gift.

Planning a celebration? Well I hope you’ve remembered the champagne – its an essential ingredient to any celebration no matter how small. Lastminute.com might not be the usual place that you think about buying your champagne from but it’s a great place to pick up a couple of good quality, reasonably prices bottles.
At the moment there is a buy two get one free offer on Louis de Custine champagne so you can afford to invite an extra guest or two!

It’s funny how a hand-made gift or card always makes it look like more thought has gone into the gift even if you don’t make it yourself! I always find that my friends appreciate hand made items a whole lot more than mass produced shop bought cards which come with ten layers of plastic wrapping. Next time you feel like passing on your best wishes skip the boring white cards with metallic prints and pick up one of the unique designs from Noo noo-art . They are decorated using everything from metal to fabrics!
The cute baby card pictured is one example of the cards made by Noo noo (so called because her baby nephew couldn’t say her name Lou!) – the cards can be personalised with the new baby’s name and colours of your choice. You can also get a range of individual cards and gifts to celebrate other occasions. Noo noos cards are more like a piece of art work than a simple card and are something you definitely wouldn’t want to throw out the day after your birthday.

I was clearing out my wardrobe the other day and i found so many old tickets, programmes, cards and invitiations that i couldn’t bare to throw away because of the memories attached to them. My mum suggested i put them in a photo album which i though was a really good idea but some of the things, like the scroll they gave me on graduation day, wouldn’t go in because they were not flat! I was about to give up and stuff everthing in a bag and put it back in the depths of my wardrobe when i thought about getting a keep-sake box. These boxes are hand made and are much sturdier than a shoe box. They are a great solution because now i can have some smart boxes to separate my nik nacs and they even look good enough to keep them on display. I hope they do one big enough to contain the road sign i collected from my first ever music festival!

These clever mugs are an excellent gift for all the family. They are thoughfully personalised, not in the boring way of displaying a name or starsign but in a more useful and original way by displaying how you take your tea or coffee!
I think my dad would really appreciate this for Father’s Day as he’s a complete caffine addict. He must drink about 20 cups a day, and he’s always bribing the family to make cups for him. I’ve made him so much coffee that I’ve got his preferences indellibly engraved in my mind forever so i don’t really need to make reference to this mug, but this would be a great gift for him to take to work and leave in the staff room for when it’s some other poor persons turn to be his coffee slave! Get them from born gifted.

Gift lists are always a good thing to set up when you have a special occasion coming up. Apart from making sure you get something you actually want, they make it so much easier for the people buying the presents –people are likely to thank you by getting you a better gift for taking the hassle of traipsing round the shops. But gift lists are only a great idea if you know what you want! I know loads of people that genuinely can’t think of anything they need!
Well I found a great solution for all concerned. The person who is celebrating can set up a list of charitable gifts at The Alternative Gift List. Here they have a chance to list various charities and tangible gifts for each charity that can be bought on their behalf, such as 200 condoms for the Terrance Higgins Aids Trust. Don’t worry no-one has to suffer weird looks in their local Boots – the gift giver just makes the donation and the charity buy the condoms for you and send them to where they are needed. Other gifts include Physiotherapy for 2 polio and civil war victims for one month or a clef lip palate operation. Gifts on the list range from about 10 – £200 pounds check out an example gift list here.
