Your Last Rolo

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Solid Silver RoloA friend of mine received a 22ct Gold Plated Last Rolo from her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day which I thought was a really nice idea. Not only is the gift totally original, it also shows that special someone how much you love them (you’d be willing to give them your last rolo!). The Rolo’s are made to the exact size of the chocolate versions and are neatly packaged in a small red circular box with black lining and a red ribbon on the lid.

I know my Mum would be thrilled if I gave her this gift on Mother’s Day and I’m sure many other Mums’ would be as well. You have the choice of 22ct Gold Plated, Solid Silver or Platinum. The Solid Silver Rolo will only set you back £39.99 or £34.95 if you buy from Prezziebox, however if you buy on the actual ‘Your Last Rolo’ website you are entitled to free engraving, free next day delivery, free gift wrapping and a free personalised nametag.

The Gold Rolo is slightly more costing £46.99 and the Platinum and Diamond Rolo will set you back £4800. I’m guessing very few of you will go for this option! Check out Your Last Rolo for more information.

Pay Your Mums Magazine Subscription …

Friday, February 23rd, 2007

Magazine SubscriptionsIf you want a Mother’s Day pressie that lasts all year long how about paying your mums yearly subscription to her favourite magazine. There are some great discounts currently available on giftmags with savings up to 52%. Simply choose your mums fav magazine and send the monthly issue to her address.

I think this is a really thoughtful present - subscribing to magazines is probably not something that many mums take the time to do themselves, but the majority of them will more than likely buy a magazine every month to read. Think how impressed she’ll be that you know what her fav magazine is – she’ll realise you do listen to her afterall!

Hot Stone Therapy Pack

The set is a hot stone therapy massage pack and includes geranium, lavender and patchouli essential massage oils, river pebbles, a fragranced candle, a white head band and some stress release oil.

No need to fork out on an expensive spa massage when your Mum can enjoy an hour or so of relaxation at home. The only thing you need to arrange is the masseuse! The pack is made by Wellbeing Solutions and comes neatly wrapped as a small gift set. You can buy for just £9.95 at Prezziebox.

Relaxation Day For Two

Relaxation Day For TwoFor a special gift on Mother’s Day treat your mum to a Relaxation Day for two. Whether you go along with her or she takes a friend, this day is sure to earn you some brownie points! The package includes two treatments for each person e.g. a back massage and facial (although this is two treatments for one person only at some venues so check carefully before booking) and full access to available fitness and leisure facilities.

Available from John Lewis for £99.

Personal Stylist For Mother’s Day …

Thursday, February 22nd, 2007

Personal Styling DaySo Mother’s Day is drawing nearer (18th March for those of you who’re unsure!) and it’s time to start thinking about pressies. Chocolates and flowers are all very well but they start to become boring year after year so maybe it’s time to think about opening your mind to new gifts that will be appreciated much more.

If your mum’s still young and trendy why not treat her to a personal styling day with the stylist from hit TV show ‘What Not To Wear’.

The stylist, Zoe Lem, hosts the event and provides everything your mum needs to know about becoming her own personal stylist. Zoe also tells celebrities such as Cat Deeley and Robbie Williams what to wear, so your mum will really be getting the star treatment!

During the day your mum will learn how to dress for her body shape, which colours suit her best and how to accessorize. The event runs on Saturday 21st April in London and will cost you £176.25. The maximum group size is 80 and only those who have booked will be able to attend the event.
