Luxury Hotel at a Fraction of the Price

Friday, March 9th, 2007

finnstownhouse.jpgI’m definitely going to make a trip to Ireland for St Patricks Day. It seems like a great way to stay in beautiful luxury hotels for a fraction of the price that it would cost in London or Paris. I discovered a great hotel called Finnstown County House Hotel where rooms start at only 122euros a night. That wouldn’t get you a room in a travel inn over here!

This hotel is so cosy and very Irish. It’s hailed as one of County Dublin’s finest established manor houses and has amazing woodland grounds, a tennis court, gym and even 18 hole putting green. The indoor heated pool would be a perfect place to relax after a hectic Saturday night’s celebrations. Its only a short taxi ride into the city so you don’t have to worry about transport to and from the city.

With an impressive Georgian restaurant boasting an AA rosette and well stocked Irish bar, you don’t even need to leave the grounds to have a brilliant St Patrick’s Day! I found this hotel on the Dublin Tourist Board website which offered discounted rates, but if you would like more detailed information about the hotel visit the official website here.

The Ultimate St. Patrick's Day Celebration CD

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

If you want to get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day coming up next weekend then there are some great music CD’s that will entertain you whilst you’re doing the housework or having your tea. I found The Ultimate St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at for £8.99 and it consists of 14 popular Irish tunes that will have you dancing around your front room!

Well known favourites such as Danny Boy by Frank Parker and Rising of the Moon by The Clancy Brothers are also on the CD. Turn up the volume and have a great St. Patrick’s Day!

Luxury St Patricks Day

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

fourseasonsdublin.jpgWhether you’re of Irish heritage and passionately patriotic or you just want an excuse for a trip away to one of Europe’s prettiest cities, there’s always a good reason to visit Dublin for St Patrick’s Day.

There’s a surprising lack of decent St Patrick’s Day packages which include travel to Ireland, entrance to events and accommodation at good hotels, so we are going to help you source all the parts you would need for a great long weekend and you can put together the perfect holiday yourself.

If you are looking for a celebration with style, one of the best places to stay in Ireland is of course the Four Season’s hotel in Dublin. The smallest room will cost 295 euros per night in mid march if booked directly with the hotel. That’s only £200 pounds – not bad for one of the worlds most luxurious hotels! If you want to get a proper taste of the city, Dublin Discovery packages are also available from 345 euros per night which include full Irish breakfast, use of a car to tour the city, luxurious accommodation, late check out and cocktails in the essentially Irish bar, which stocks some of Irelands best beers. Visit the hotel website for more information.
