Benicassim Festival 2008

March 1st, 2008 by Amanda

benicassim.gifI’ve got festival fever this year and that might be the result of having far too many festivals to choose from.

The Benicassim Festival is from what I hear one of the best for hard core dance/electro fans and indie/pop fans. Think about it, this is the perfect place to take a vacation with your friends, located between Valencia and Barcelona in a small beach town called Coast De Azahar in Spain. Enjoy the sunshine and lazing on the beach during the day and get down to some immense partying in the evenings through till dawn. Expect performances from dance acts such as Armand Van Helden, Simian Mobile Disco and The Rapture to indie acts such as The Klaxtons, Arctic Monkey’s, Muse, Kings Of Leon and The Hives.

The festival takes place between Thursday 19th of July through till Sunday the 22nd of July with a huge free beach party on Monday the 23rd. Get your tickets through Seetickets.com costing £140.05 plus a transaction fee for a four day ticket with camping. Visit the festival website for more information and day ticket options.

Torvil & Dean’s Dancing On Ice Tour 2008

February 26th, 2008 by Amanda

Dancing on Ice LogoIt’s become a Sunday ritual for me now, to tune in to ITV at 18.25 to watch Dancing On Ice and I’m sure it’s become one for many others too.

Watching Chris Fountain, Suzanne Shaw, Gareth Gates, Zaraah Abrahams, Greg Rusedski and, before she was voted off last Sunday, Linda Lusardi has brought great entertainment to Sunday night television, so why not catch them live as they embark on a tour around the UK. The tour kicks off on the 4th of April 2008 in Sheffield visiting Nottingham, Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Manchester. If you don’t fancy the live version keep watching on Sunday’s, it’s all very tense now and the celebrities left have certainly become amazing skaters!

Tickets are available online through the Torvil & Dean Dancing On Ice Tour website starting at around £32.50.

Glastonbury Festival 2008

January 27th, 2008 by Amanda

Like V Festival and the Carling Festival, Glastonbury Festival will be returning this year and will hopefully be better than ever.

Glastonbury LogoThe festival will happen on the weekend of the 27th, 28th and 29th of June 2008 but to be in with the chance of acquiring a ticket you must register online between the 1st of February and the 14th of March 2008. This is due to a successful system that began last year to combat ticket touting. A good thing when you think how much tickets have been sold for in the past. Last year saw some great acts take to the stage including the Arctic Monkeys and The Killers.

Visit the Glastonbury website in February and register to be in with the chance of purchasing a ticket that will go on sale on the 6th of April 2008. You must upload a photo as each ticket will feature a photograph of the person registered to it.

The V Festival 2008

January 27th, 2008 by Amanda

V Festival LogoWhoop … Festival time is approaching! Last years festivals were such a success and I am looking forward to more of the same standard.

The V Festival returns this year on Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th of August in both Chelmsford and Staffordshire. According to the website the line up is ‘pretty darn exhilarating’ but it’s being tight lipped on possible acts who will take to the stage this year. Last years acts included the amazing Snow Patrol and The Killers so we hope to see more top acts return!

Tickets will go on sale soon but keep up-to-date with all festival information at the official website.
